Sutter Health Plus was recently awarded the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) formal seal of Health Plan Accreditation for a three-year period. The two-year application process included performance reporting in over 40 areas, and surveys of more than 60 care management standards conducted by a team of physicians and health plan experts.
NCQA Health Plan Accreditation evaluates how well a health plan manages all parts of its delivery system—physicians, hospitals, other providers and administrative services—in order to continuously improve the quality of care and services provided to its members.
“On behalf of every employee at the health plan, we are honored to achieve NCQA accreditation,” said Brian Fellner, Sutter Health Plus CEO. “This significant milestone demonstrates our collective ability to connect high-quality care and coverage to more than 90,000 members.”
Obtaining the prestigious NCQA accreditation illustrates the health plan’s commitment to delivering on Sutter’s vision to give our communities access to care that’s safe, personal, affordable, and accessible.
