With an ongoing focus on sustainably managing their health benefits premiums, high-deductible health plans (HDHPs) provide small businesses and their employees with a flexible alternative to traditional plan options. One of the perks of an HDHP is the ability to open a health savings account (HSA), which is a tax-advantaged savings account for qualified medical expenses—such as copays and deductibles, prescription drugs, vision care, and dental services.
Sutter Health Plus is now offering a new 2023 Gold-tier HDHP to the small group market. This new plan, Gold SD02 HDHP HMO, offers 20% coinsurance after deductible for all non-preventive services. Pharmacy benefits are copays after deductible for Tier 1-3, and coinsurance for Tier 4.

The new Gold HDHP plan offers all of the convenient benefits and features available to Sutter Health Plus members. Members have access to Sutter Walk-In Care, which offers same-day quality care for common illnesses, health screenings, and immunizations. Members also have access to communicate with their care team through My Health Online (MHO). These network providers have the ability to use the Sutter Electronic Health Record to instantly review and share critical information with other Sutter clinicians allowing them to deliver highly coordinated care.
Additionally, many primary care physicians (PCPs), including pediatricians, offer video visits for routine health needs through MHO. Members should check MHO to see if their PCP offers video visits.
