Two Hospitals in the Sutter Health Plus Network Named 2016-2017 Consumer Choice Award Winners

Two hospitals within the Sutter Health Plus network have been named 2016-2017 Consumer Choice Award winners by National Research Corporation. Memorial Medical Center-Modesto and St. Joseph’s Medical Center-Stockton were recognized among the 24 most-preferred hospitals by consumers in California.

The award recognizes U.S. hospitals that health care consumers identify as providing quality health care services, preferred doctors and nurses, and a respected image and reputation in their respective markets. Hospitals Honored for Low C-Section Rates

The California Health and Human Services Department recently recognized hospitals for reducing cesarean births for first-time moms with low-risk pregnancies. Ten hospitals in the Sutter Health Plus network were named to the state’s 2016 Hospital C-section Honor Roll.

California Health and Human Services Secretary Diana Dooley announced achievement awards this week on behalf of Smart Care California, a coalition of public and private health care purchasers that collectively cover 16 million people statewide—or 40 percent of all Californians.

U.S. News & World Report Names Sutter Health Plus Network Hospitals Among Best in California

Six hospitals within the Sutter Health Plus network achieved recognition today as among the best hospitals in California for 2016-17 by U.S. News & World Report. The annual rankings rate top hospitals in the state and in major metropolitan regions, as well as top hospitals according to their performance across 25 specialties, procedures and conditions.

Sutter Health Plus Network Physician Organizations Earn Top Honors for Patient Care

Four Network Hospitals Earn Top Honors for Patient Safety

Four hospital campuses in the Sutter Health Plus network earned “A” grades for patient safety from The Leapfrog Group® in its Fall 2015 Hospital Safety Score. Eden Medical Center, Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital, Sutter Davis Hospital and Sutter Delta Medical Center were recognized for their overall performance in keeping patients safe from preventable harm and medical errors. The letter grades were calculated from 28 evidence-based national measures of hospital safety and more than 2,500 hospitals nationwide participated in Leapfrog’s Hospital Safety Score program.
