Accessing Virtual Care for Mental Health

It is normal and quite common to experience stress or anxiety during uncertain times. Adjusting to major life changes—such as transitioning to working from a home office, facing economic challenges, or helping children or teens navigate distance learning—can amplify daily pressures. Sutter Health Plus connects members to high-quality care and resources to support mental health in everyday life.

“We are fortunate to be living in a time where technology can play a larger role in our health and wellness,” said Sutter Health Plus CEO Brian Fellner. “It’s important for our members to know they have access to safe, confidential virtual care for their mental health.”

Virtual Visits for Mental Health
Mental health, behavioral health, and substance use disorder treatment services are available to members through U.S. Behavioral Health Plan, California (USBHPC). Members may self-refer to a participating USBHPC provider for virtual office visits, no referral required.

To support our members during this time, there is no cost share for video visits for covered services from April 1 through December 31, 2020. Members can access benefit information, find a licensed mental health provider, and schedule a virtual visit at liveandworkwell.com or by calling USBHPC at (855) 202-0984. Additionally, the Substance Abuse Treatment Helpline is available 24/7 at (855) 780-5955.

Online Tools and Resources
Also available through USBHPC is a variety of detailed behavioral health materials, articles, assessments, videos and other valuable resources at liveandworkwell.com. Helpful topics include parenting and caretaking, managing relationships, handling unexpected financial stress, and assisting a loved one experiencing a mental health issue.
