Recently, Newsweek magazine named 10 ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) in the Sutter Health Plus network among the Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers for 2021—with Palo Alto Medication Foundation Surgery Center (PAMF), Palo Alto ranked number one in California!

The following Sutter Health Plus network ASCs made the list:

  • PAMF Surgery Center, Palo Alto
  • PAMF Surgery Center, Mountain View
  • PAMF Surgery Center, Fremont
  • Fort Sutter Surgery Center
  • PAMF Surgery Center, San Carlos
  • Sutter Santa Rosa Surgery & Endoscopy Center
  • Sutter Sierra Surgery Center
  • Capitol City Surgery Center
  • Sutter Auburn Surgery Center
  • Sutter Roseville Endoscopy Center

Experts from Newsweek magazine along with survey participants ranked California’s top ASCs based on the quality of care, peer recommendations, and other performance data including how well facilities responded to COVID-19.

“I’m incredibly proud of this recognition from Newsweek, though I’m not surprised,” says Sutter Surgery Center Division CEO Terry Glubka. “Our ASCs’ clinicians and staff care deeply about the health and safety of their patients, and they work hard to provide them high quality, compassionate care.”

The Sutter Health Plus network includes ASCs that provide members with same-day surgical options for many procedures, including pain and spine surgeries, hernia repairs, gallbladder removals, and cataract surgeries. Unlike surgery performed in a hospital, a patient who undergoes surgery in an ASC can go home the same day of the procedure to recover with family in the comfort of their own home.
