Mental Health is Health

Mental health conditions are very common and very real. In fact, nearly one in five adults lives with a mental illness in the United States. This suggests that either you or someone you know is affected by a mental health condition.

Stigma surrounding mental health is one of the largest barriers to seeking care. For many, it can be uncomfortable or embarrassing to admit there is a need for mental health care. Asking for help or helping a loved one get the right care is the first step toward improving mental wellness. At Sutter Health Plus, we believe that caring for mental health is equally as important as caring for physical health.

Through U.S. Behavioral Health Plan, California (USBHPC), Sutter Health Plus members can self-refer to a participating licensed mental health provider for in-person office visits. Virtual visits are available through select providers, and USBHPC also offers inpatient and outpatient substance use disorder treatment services.

USBHPC also offers inpatient and outpatient substance use disorder treatment services.

Members can visit liveandworkwell.com to find a nearby mental health provider, schedule a secure, confidential virtual office visit or an in-person appointment, and access benefit information. Also available are detailed behavioral health articles, self-assessment tools, informational videos and tips for improving mental wellness.

Mental health is health. For questions about mental health services or benefits, members can contact USBHPC at 855-202-0984. Additionally, the Substance Abuse Treatment Helpline is available 24/7 at 855-780-5955.
